Common Values

CFIS students receive a well-rounded education which includes character education. Students from Preschool to Grade 12 participate in different activities and projects that illustrate these core values:

2. Kindness
3. Knowledge
4. Courage

UNESCO

The framework for these core values stems from our UNESCO initiative. CFIS completed its third year as a candidate school for the ASPnet Network. During the school year, students partake in different initiatives contributing to these four themes:

1. World Concerns and the Role of the United Nations
2. Democracy and Human Rights
3. Intercultural Learning / Internationalism
4. Contributing to a Sustainable Environment

These themes are integrated into our school calendar. Each division contributes to the United Nation's vision of making the world a better place for all of its citizens in its own way, with the overall themes being the connection piece of our elementary and secondary programs.
