We would like to welcome you and encourage your active involvement with CFIS.
Every parent of a student attending CFIS can contribute to CFIS in a variety of ways. As always, parent volunteers in and out of the classroom are a critical part of the year. On a broader scale, your comments and suggestions can be brought forward to the CFIS Community Builders (CCB) and can help build a better school community. By working with the CCB and in other volunteer capacities, we are sure you will enrich your family’s experience with CFIS and facilitate a deeper appreciation for what your children are experiencing.

In addition to working with the CCB you can also assist the school with a variety of activities (fundraising and not). We are always looking for volunteers so be sure to check out the Volunteer section for the latest news.
The CFIS Community Builders (CCB) is a CFIS-parent-led group of twelve task-based committees that collectively have the overarching goal of improving our school by strengthening its community-building activities. Each committee has been assigned a staff liaison, to provide the necessary school support to the groups. The CCB (which was formerly the Parent Advisory Council) was created in June 2011 and has been operational at CFIS since fall 2011.
The CCB is managed by an executive committee elected at the CCB Annual General Meeting held in September each year. CFIS parents may contact the CCB executive or attend Quarterly Meetings to bring forward recommendations. Participation on the CCB executive and at Quarterly Meetings is open to all parents of CFIS students.
